Product Background
The EU's minimum standards of acceptable emission
levels have been steadily lowered. To meet these
standards, engine manufacturers have had to
introduce new technology to reduce vehicle emissions,
in the form of Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) or
Exhaust Gas Recirculation (ERG).
Major engine manufacturers have chosen SCR
technology, an exhaust system additive that reduces
NOx emissions from diesel engines, breaking the NOx
down into harmless components of water vapour and
nitrogen gas.
