and explain you about two new games: “Mario and Sonic at
the Olympic Games at the London 2012” and Mario and Sonic
at the Olympic Winter Games Sochi 2014.

5. • Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic is a sports and party game developed by Sega
Japan.
• The game is officially licensed by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) through
exclusive licensee International Sports Multimedia.
• It is the third edition of the game Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games and is an official
video game of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.
• The game was released on the Wii on November 13, 2011 in Europe, November 15, 2011 in
North America, November 17, 2011 in Australia, and December 8, 2011 in Japan.
• It was also released for the Nintendo 3DS in February 2012.
• Mario and Sonic brings together the two titular characters and eighteen more from both
franchises to participate in environments based on the official venues of the 2012 Summer
Olympics in London.
• Several Olympic events on the Wii, including football (soccer), badminton, and equestrian will
debut alongside improved versions of previously existing events such as athletics, aquatics,
and table tennis.

game for the Wii U, the first for the console.
• Is the fourth edition of the game and is the official video game for the 2014 Winter
Olypics being held in Sochi.
• It was released on November 8, 2013 in Europe,November 9, 2013 in Australia,November 15,
2013 in North America, and December 5, 2013 in Japan.
• It is the first title in the game to feature an online multiplayer mode, and the first to be
published by Nintendo and Sega company.
• The players can only choose one of twenty characters that return from the previous two
games, participate in a series of sixteen Olympic events.
