Individual Poems By: Leea Crabtree
Remember Remember I can remember, Skipping rocks on a pond, My childhood’s gone. I can remember, Going to the lake, Swimming real fast, My childhood’s in the past. I can remember, Many years passed astray, My childhood’s faded away.
Soft Softer and softer your voice seems to fade, And I ponder the choices we made. How we were so young to care, The limits we broke ‘cuz we dared. A love poem beset by our pride, But little we knew what was hiding inside. The phone call I got as few months passed, And without notice my parenthood came fast. What burden to carry, that your life’s set back, How soft my heart grew as I got on track. On that day my joy reached a peak, With this new baby whose love I seek. As our new baby brought us together, And as I swore, “I’m with you forever.” Never to leave you alone, Softened by life, our love has grown.
Spring Day I look outside at the nice spring day, I remember how I used to go out and play, The green grass in my fingers and hair, The bumble-bees everywhere, I used to look up at the crystal clear sky, The birds would fly high up above, The clouds would float like lifeless thoughts, I could smell the BBQ's, And I wish I knew, The butterflies would land on my arm, They wished me fare-well as I moved on.
Families Families aren’t easy, Not even just a bit. They’re like a jigsaw puzzle, Different pieces that just fit. Families make bad enemies, They make the best of friends, A link that can be stretched and strained, But never breaks or ends. Families are heart breaking, They bring stress you won’t believe, But the worst way they could hurt you, Would be for them to leave.
My passion   What is my passion It's basketball I've loved it since I was 8 I've played And played And i put a lot of effort into it No matter what I'll play If i break a finger If i pull a muscle If someone knocks me down And I'm in a lot of pain I will still play Basketball is my life I love this sport Over all others And that's the way it is I don't care what all of you say Basketball is the best sport Invented It is my passion No one can take that away from me
