A quick talk about 5 aspects of my life which can be turned into games.
InterRail: You got a fixed time limit and budget to see as many places as possible. The more places and sights you see the more points you gain. The first part of the game is planing your travel route on the strategic map. Try to figure out the most efficient way to see as many places as possible. The second part is the actual journey where you have to watch your budget. You need to eat an sleep but there are several tricks to save time and money like sleeping in the train.
In the Club for the First Time: For the first time in your life you're going into a club with your friends, and you want to be as cool as possible. The ultimate goal of this game is to be cool enough to may pick up a girlfriend. There are several ways to be cool in the eyes of the other young folks. For instance you can dance or sing karaoke. But this only increases your coolness if you do a good performance. You can also drink alcohol to increase coolness but be careful with that as it can end the game when you're blacking out. Also the chance of picking up a girl sinks with too much alcohol consume. So try to impress as much as possible with other skills or tricks like drinking a virgin screwdriver.
Studying: The goal of this game is to finish as fast as possible, but also to have as much fun as possible. You got to manage three aspects of the game. Studying to finish the game, partying to have fun and working to be able to afford the two aspects. The goal is to balance these three aspects to get the maximum out of the study time.
Zen and the Art of Setting Up a CouchDB Server: Setting up a CouchDB Server on your system can be a tough challenge. There are many obstacles to overcome. The goal in this game is to set up a CouchDB Server as quickly as possible as you're constantly loosing points. You got server possibilities to solve problems. Solve it yourself, google it our use the mailing list. For every obstacle you have to decide which solution is the best as writing to the mailing list usually takes very long but helps you with really tough problems.
Stay Fit: This game is about making sports. You got three attributes you can increase: Strength, stamina and concentration. There are several sports which increase an attribute for one point each day you perform then. For instance running increases your stamina whereas archery increases you concentration. There are sports which increase two values at once. But be careful everyday you do no sport you have to remove one of the points. When you get over a certain value with your attributes you get rewarded by being allowed to play a computer game or to watch TV. The higher your attributes get the better your rewards are.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!
