Adobe InDesign is a desktop publishing and page layout software first released in 1999 that can be used to create works such as posters, flyers, brochures, magazines, newspapers, presentations, books and ebooks. It supports vector files and imports AI and EPS files, but does not support XML. Unlike Photoshop which saves objects locally, InDesign links design objects from various storage locations. It has more limited filters than Photoshop. Both operate on Windows and MacOS, with Photoshop available in more languages since it was released in 1990 while InDesign came out in 1999.
