Design for Change Contest in GPS KAGAZIGUDA

Activity: Air pollution control

Area:     Kagaziguda, Jhirra, Hyderabad.

Feel:      The children of GPS Kagaziguda felt with the problem of air pollution. In the
situation so many pupils felt sick with the air pollution of beside the school environment.
There were potter men families lives beside the school. Their profession is make pots,
small plates, dolls, etc with clay. After made it is necessary to fire it. When they fired
it, a lot of smoke comes out from the Bhtty. With the cause of so many children of the
school suffered. It was the cause to less attendance of the children, average academic
performance.

    The children want pure and healthy air. So they felt how to protect air pollution of
surrounding of the school.



Imagine: After that the children of the GPS Kagaziguda imagined the good
environment of the surrounding of the school. The pure air is keep us healthy when we
health our academic performance also will better. The group of the children was planed
of protection of air pollution in surrounding of the school.
Do:       The children of the GPS Kagaziguda School went to the houses of the potter-
men families who live beside of the school environment surrounding area told them
losses of the pollution air. They made rally about awareness of air pollution. The
children contact directly to the potter man, told him the losses of the smoke, heavy
carbon dioxide come out from the bhatty. So use the any other method to fire the clay
items. The children gave a plant to plant in the premises of the potter man house area.
Told him the trees control to the air pollution and gave hi a suggestion use other
materials to burn to clay item which made. The potter man took plant by the children,
he promises to care of protection of pollution.



Share:     The children of the GPS Kagaziguda shared the problems to others. By the
performance of pollution control rally, the other children of the school participated in
the programme. The children expressed their delightfulness with their success for
better health of all pupils of the school and the community of the area.




The children are feeling.                 Children are participating in rally.




Children are saying about pollution.    Children are giving a plant to potter man.
They prove their courage in them   Children are expressing delightfulness.
