1. The document provides important notes and instructions for research scholars pursuing Ph.D. or M.S. degrees at Anna University regarding various forms, deadlines, meetings, and reimbursements. 2. Scholars must periodically check the university website for updates to regulations and announcements, and download necessary forms from there. All original forms must be submitted to the Centre for Research office. 3. The enrolment form must be submitted within 15 days of provisional registration, and coursework registration forms along with copies must go to the Centre for Research and ACOE/COE offices respectively.

1. Important Note:
1. Research scholars are instructed to browse the Anna University website
https://cfr.annauniv.edu periodically for any amendments in Ph.D./M.S. regulations as well
as for information and latest announcements. Scholars can also download the necessary
forms from the above website.
2. All the forms duly filled in (Original) should be submitted to the office of Centre for Research
and a photo copy of the same shall be retained with scholar / supervisor for reference,
specifically fee receipts and progress reports.
3. The enrolment form (accessed through the link https://cfr.annauniv.edu/scholars/) in original
shall be submitted to the office of the Centre for Research within 15 days from the date of
provisional registration order.
4. The Ph.D./M.S. (By Research) scholars who are pursuing research in CEG, ACT, SAP and MIT
shall contact the office of ACOE and others pursing research in affiliated Engineering Colleges
shall contact the office of COE and the Director, Academic courses regarding the details of
examination fees.
5. Minutes of the Doctoral Committee /Monitoring Committee shall be submitted in original to
the office of the Centre for Research duly signed by the supervisor, DC/MC members and Joint
supervisor (if any) and forwarded by the HOD/Director of the Centre with the seal.
6. The course work Registration Form (accessed through the link
https://cfr.annauniv.edu/scholars/) in original shall be submitted to the office of the Centre
for Research and a photo copy to the ACOE/COE during payment of the examination fee.
7. In the course work registration form, the course code, course title, credit and the name of the
course instructor shall be specifically mentioned and duly signed by the course instructor (s)
and HOD/Director of the Centre with the seal.
8. The research scholars who are pursuing Ph.D. / M.S. (By research) under Full-time category in
CEG, ACT, SAP and MIT shall collect the ID card from Director, Centre for Professional
Development Education (CPDE) on payment of prescribed fee.
9. The supervisor, joint supervisor (if any) and Research Co-ordinator (Scholar and Supervisor
are from different Institutions) are eligible to claim sitting fee and Research Co-ordinator can
claim conveyance.
10. Minutes of the DC/MC meeting for confirmation of the Provisional Registration shall
accompany the course work result sheet issued by the COE, duly attested by the supervisor
with seal.
11. To reimburse halting charges, claim bill for actual expenditure shall be duly certified by the
supervisor (with seal) as “Certified that Dr.________ has stayed for one day_______ in connection
with the MC/DC/Viva Voce of the scholar, Mr. /Mrs._________ held on _______”.

2. 12. Research scholars registered at Anna University and erstwhile AUT, Chennai who are
submitting the claim bills of Doctoral/Monitoring Committee meetings and Viva-Voce
examination are requested to provide the account particulars in the link
“https://cfr.annauniv.edu/scholars/”
13. Scholars are instructed to aim for publishing papers arising from the research work in refereed
impact factor journals (as listed in Annexure I, available in the Anna University website).
14. Plagiarism is a serious offence which should be avoided in publications and thesis.
15. Any document signed by the temporary in-charge HoD/Director of the Centre, attach a proof of
his/her nomination by the competent authority. Otherwise the document(s) submitted by the
scholar will not be processed.
16. All the fields are mandatory.
17. Data cannot be modified / edited after taking the printout.
