This document describes two types of ventricular arrhythmias: idioventricular rhythm and asystole. Idioventricular rhythm is an escape rhythm produced by the ventricles at a rate of 20-40 beats per minute without P waves and with wide QRS complexes. Asystole is a flat line on the EKG indicating the absence of any electrical activity in the heart with a rate of 0 beats per minute and no P waves or QRS complexes.
