This document discusses a new company called Covve that aims to create a centralized professional address book and contact management system. It notes that employees and companies currently have large, underutilized contact networks that are not fully accessible or shared within companies. Covve seeks to sync with existing address books, enrich contact profiles, allow anonymous sharing of contacts while respecting privacy, and provide visualization tools to help manage relationships.
The Daily Perc is launching a specialty coffee business that allows customers to drive up and order beverages from a trained barista. It will focus on commuters and captive consumers by opening drive-thru locations and mobile cafes. The plan is to open 13 drive-thrus and 4 mobile cafes in three years, achieving 45% gross margins and over 15% net profits. Funding of $1.82 million is required for startup expenses and assets, which will be raised through ownership shares.
The document summarizes a market analysis of three major coffee shops - Figaro, UCC, and Starbucks - located in Robinsons Place Manila. It describes the typical customers, locations, and offerings of each coffee shop. Figaro caters mostly to businessmen and has a small location but variety of food. UCC has a larger location and more diversified menu but higher prices. Starbucks has the biggest location and caters to a wide range of customers, though it focuses more on coffee than food. The success of these coffee shops depends on understanding their target markets, location, and quality of service. This competition is beneficial to both customers and the coffee industry.
Cava Coffee Bar aims to provide a unique Arabian coffee experience with authentic Moroccan ambience. It will offer beverages, gourmet food, and sheesha in a warm, relaxed atmosphere. The business will target youth and families in Singapore, where coffee consumption is growing, by opening locations in strategic areas like Orchard Road and Clarke Quay. Marketing strategies will include advertisements, discounts, and positioning the brand as providing high quality products at reasonable prices. Financial projections estimate break-even will be reached in the second quarter of operations.
TV viewing has evolved from limited analogue programming with a passive audience to unlimited digital content with engaged users controlling their experience. As screens diversify and content grows, consumers are in control but lost in options. Rabt aims to solve this by personalizing discovery across devices through machine learning and big data to increase views, engagement, and monetization for media companies. In a case study, Rabt improved click-through rates at Letv, China's largest streaming platform, by 10-30% daily over their internal system. Rabt's revenue model charges clients per personalized user monthly with an annual recurring revenue between $25,000-$200,000.
