2.  Gary Rixson is a consultant with Lockton Companies in

in 2012.
Held annually in October, the Chicago Marathon draws
runners from all across the United States and more
than 100 countries worldwide. The 2016 race will be
held on Sunday, October 9.

3.  In order to participate in the race, runners can either apply for
guaranteed entry or enter into a lottery. Guaranteed entry
applications come in several forms. Legacy finishers are those
who have finished the Chicago Marathon at least five times in
the last 10 years. Time qualifiers are runners who have
completed a marathon under a certain time: 3:15 for men and
3:45 for women. Runners who were selected to run in the
2015 marathon but had to defer also gain automatic entry into
the 2016 race. Additionally, the Chicago Marathon works with
charity program runners and international tour group program
runners.
