I can clearly remember the first time he took a dive in Westwood
Lake only to surface with a pair of underpants on his head and

straight.

There is also the time when we went together to a store so he
could ask a pretty lady out for dinner, but he blurted out the
wrong line and ended up saying something about her oversized

He was always a comedian in my book with his strange and

Taking a good and hard look at the past years that we spent
together, I thought about framed prints as the perfect gift for him
this Christmas and what other picture did I think about framing
than the one of him with the underpants on his head in that lake?
That was downright epic and the look on his face was the icing
on the cake: he was so surprised why everyone was laughing and
pointing at him, that he started laughing as well but once he felt
the underpants on his head, did he actually realize why they were
all laughing!

After I thought about using this I decided to get it framed as print
for him, I knew I had to think about a special way of delivering it
to his place also.
His wife agreed to help with this one too! A few days before
Christmas though, he must have had a feeling of something
because we were at this bar and he nodded approvingly while

"I got to give it to you Mike, these girls really bring me back to
that day when I switched my cap with a guy's underwear" and
burst into laughter.
I played along and laughed, thinking "boy does he have a knack
for feeling what I have in store for him or what?". Eventually we
paid for our drinks, left the bar and headed home.

The very next day, I get a call from the post man at 6 AM in the
morning (strange because it was Christmas) saying I had a
special package to sign for. Surprised, I checked it out, signed for
it and then called my wife and tell her about it.
When I opened it, it was actually a special Christmas framed
print of my face which clearly replaced his that summer when he
was caught off guard with underpants hanging over his forehead!

I actually laughed out loud and couldn't believe how he managed
to pull this off, but in a note on the print's corner he said my gift
really touched him and he just wanted to return the favor. Well,
I'll say a Merry Christmas to that old friend!
