2. Her situation
Not getting enough sleep because of
her baby’s sleeping problems

3. Let’s call our mother Susan and the
baby Carol.

4. As in any family, Carol’s sleeping
problems were also Susan’s
problems.

5. A not very smart mom
would stay up all night just to over
watch the baby.

6. A smart mom would find
solutions to her problems, just as
Susan did.

7. One solution she found was to have
some bed time rituals
with little Carol.

8. 1. Turn the light
down to diffuse light
in order for Carol to
realize it is dark
outside.

9. 2. Have a special
pajamas or
power costume
for the night.

10. 3. A special snack/milk/tea 1 & ½ h
before sleep

11. 4. Bed time STORIES! – Susan had
more fun by making them up
together with little Carol.

12. Carol created an experience before
bed time around these activities and
her little baby had no problems
sleeping tightly.

13. Susan’s advice: find solutions to your
problems!
