A group of former students visited their retired professor and discussed their stressful lives and careers. The professor served them hot chocolate in various cups, from plain to expensive. He explained that the cup does not change the quality of the hot chocolate, and that they were focusing too much on acquiring the best cups rather than enjoying the hot chocolate itself. Life is the hot chocolate, and jobs and status are just tools, or cups, to experience it. We should concentrate less on superficial things and more on enjoying what really matters.
