Holmes was founded by 2 information technology and engineering university students, Alfie Torres and Isaac Frith, in 2018. The idea of Holmes came from the problem surrounding the difficulty of reading the nutritional information on a product label and understanding what value it adds to us, as a consumer. Holmes solves this through an app that scans the nutritional information of a food item and analyses if the item Is SUGGESTED or NOT SUGGESTED based on their health profile. This also includes a breakdown of why an item was SUGGESTED or NOT SUGGESTED.
