Dear Honeywell Life Safety Colleagues,
Each year, as part of National Engineers Week in the United States,
Honeywell Life Safety recognizes outstanding technical achievements that
drive our growth and productivity. Today, I am pleased to announce the
winners of the 2007 Honeywell Life Safety Technical Achievement Awards.
This year, we are honoring 27 individuals from five project teams listed below. These individuals
have demonstrated exceptional engineering skills and creativity through personal effort, diligence,
and leadership. Their projects showcase technical innovation critical to Honeywell’s success with our
customers.
Please join me in congratulating this year’s Technical Achievement Award winners and thanking them
for their significant contribution to Honeywell's success.
John Chapples, Neils Hansen and Martin Williamson
The EcoSure and Surecell range of electrochemical cells offer superior performance, high reliability,
stability and humidity tolerance. They are incorporated into Honeywell Analytics domestic carbon
monoxide (CO) and industrial products sold on an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) basis
worldwide. The Ecosure is primarily sold into markets that are high volume (approximately 3.5 million
units per annum) and low cost such as CO and fire detection instrumentation. For CO detection, it
has become the industry standard. This status has been achieved through automation of cell
assembly and the development of a unique solution for the fabrication of the electrode system.
Congratulation to the winners!
Cleo Cabuz Chief Technology Officer Honeywell Life Safety
