The document invites residents of the Parkwood Knolls neighborhood to share stories about the history of their homes and families for inclusion in a new history section of the neighborhood magazine. It encourages submissions about unique architectural features, how long families have lived in the area, and any other interesting facts or long-forgotten pieces of the neighborhood's past that could help others learn about and appreciate the community's history. Residents are asked to email the editor if they are interested in contributing.

1. Parkwood Knolls History
Written by Megan Brueske
Hello Parkwood Knolls Residents!
We will be launching a history section within Parkwood Knolls Neighborhood Life and want YOU
to be involved! The neighborhood has a great deal of fascinating history and we would love to
hear all about it. The magazine would like to feature many diverse types of historic stories,
especially about the homes themselves. Have you ever noticed unique architecture in your
home, such as an original fireplace or staircase, does your home have unusual windows? Even if
your home is remodeled, it could still hold beautiful elements from the original construction. In
addition to architecture, we are interested in family histories as well. Is your family a first
generation resident or has Parkwood Knolls been your family's home for a long time? Whether
you have lived in the neighborhood for 20 years or 5 years, you may have a unique story to
share about your experience living here. If you are new to Parkwood Knolls and have interesting
information from the previous owners, we would love to hear from you too. We are interested
in any and all kinds of history, especially those that make others smile, maybe a little fun fact or
a piece of history long forgotten. If you are interested in sharing your Parkwood Knolls
experience, please email Megan at brues036@umn.edu. We are looking forward to sharing
your stories and experiences with other Parkwood Knolls residents.
