2. Introducción
La salud, definida como un estado de completo bienestar físico, mental y social, puede verse
afectada por factores como la falta de una higiene adecuada o la falla en la limpieza de los
entornos como la casa, escuela, lugar de trabajo o espacios de esparcimiento. De esta manera,
el conocimiento y las técnicas que tienen las personas para controlar los aspectos relacionados
a la limpieza corporal o del entorno les permiten prevenir enfermedades y cuidar su salud.
En primera instancia, es en las casas, en el entorno familiar, en donde hay gran potencial para
influir de forma positiva en el desarrollo y generación de hábitos de higiene personal y de
limpieza del entorno, a través de su práctica diaria. Desde el entorno laboral y comunitario
también se puede contribuir informando sobre temas relacionados a la higiene, participando en
la promoción y práctica de buenos hábitos que permitan la generación y mantenimiento de la
salud en las personas que los conforman.

3. Objetivo
Que las maestras y los maestros pongan en
práctica acciones de higiene y limpieza
personal, familiar, escolar, del entorno y el
medio ambiente, y analicen su relación con el
cuidado de la salud, desde un enfoque de
corresponsabilidad que impulse el cuidado de
sí y de las demás personas.

Reconocemos la importancia de desarrollar hábitos de higiene que contribuyan a
mejorar y conservar la salud, así como a prevenir enfermedades que pueden ser
causadas por no practicarlos. Por ello, es conveniente pensar:
● ¿Los hábitos que tenemos?
● ¿Cómo los realizamos?
● ¿Qué podemos hacer para fortalecerlos o desarrollarlos, según sea el caso?.
Esto es a nivel personal, pero también vale la pena considerar que podemos influir en
las personas adultas a nuestro alrededor, así como favorecer la formación de estos
hábitos en las niñas y niños con quienes convivimos en casa o en el trabajo, pues
podemos llegar a ser un referente a seguir.

6. La higiene resulta una actividad básica en la rutina diaria y
representa muchos beneficios para nuestra salud, calidad de
vida, autoestima y bienestar personal. Esta puede definirse como
el conjunto de conocimientos y técnicas que aplican las
personas, en las diferentes esferas, para el control de los factores
que ejercen o pueden ejercer efectos nocivos sobre su salud.
