Andújar is a town in Spain known for its historical landmarks and natural beauty. Some of the main sites include the Clock Tower from 1534 honoring King Carlos V, the Gothic Church of Santa María containing a painting by El Greco, and the 17th century House of Don Gome fusing classical and Arabic architecture. Surrounding the town is the Natural Park Sierra Morena habitat for birds, boar, deer, and the largest population of endangered Iberian Lynxes in Spain. A major annual pilgrimage on the last Sunday of April is dedicated to the Virgin de la Cabeza at her sanctuary located 32 km from Andújar.
