Digital printing allows for color mixing and gradients on custom t-shirts. Heat transfer printing uses heat transfer paper where an image is printed on paper and then pressed onto a t-shirt using a heat press. This is an affordable method for small-scale or home t-shirt printing. However, each design requires cutting out the printed area. Digital printing directly prints onto t-shirts using an inkjet printer but is slower and more expensive for large quantities. Both methods have advantages and limitations depending on needs, designs, and budgets.
