1. “HATCHED NOW”
The much anticipated “hatched now” is in accordance with our vision should be
rescheduled to be a three day Artists Retreat instead of an exhibition, where we shall
endeavour to encourage ourselves as artists through several innovative programs; talks,
speeches, art poetry and other deserving activities as “poolsiding” and physicals to put
artists into the right mood required around everyday exhibition artists.
Apart from serving as the platform for us as artists to come together and deliberate on our
future directions, it shall also serve as, for the meantime, the official occasion to launch
the future traditional “Nest End of Year”. I think this shall give the participating artists
including ourselves ample time to work through the theme in creating new dimensions to
our artistic heritage.
It shall also serve as the right forum for debating on the theme that TAL shall unveil to be
worked on there by giving it the required artistic dimensions the we as artists sort for in
projecting the our arts.
Thirdly besides the occasion serving the same purpose of encouraging artists through the
academic year as was anticipated with a first semester exhibition it shall also define in
action the versatility of the TAL vision creating a Ghanaian artistic standard.
The exercise shall also serve as the initiation of artists registration and the official
recruitment of TAL volunteers that shall serve as our “foot soldiers” on campus since the
TAL shall not be fully represented on campus most the period between the launching the
theme and the exhibition.
It shall follow up with the release of notice to artists of the actual dates of submission of
exhibition proposals, images and artists’ statements and other essentials.
