Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

Review
The book is about a young boy, aged 10/11, who lives in a house with his Aunt, Uncle and Cousin, because his parents were killed when he was young. The first few chapters talk about Harry's life in this house, and include some unusual things that happen, like the fact that he can talk to a snake when he is at the zoo (something that becomes very important in later books). Later in the book, Hagrid comes in to Harry's life to tell him that he is in actual fact a wizard, and that he has got a place at a school called Hogwart's, which trains young witches and wizards. This news delights Harry because the family And so begins the life of Harry Potter as a wizard. He starts his new school and makes friends (and enemies). mily that he lives with do not want him there, and are disturbed by the 'strange' things that happen when he gets angry. And so begins the life of Harry Potter as a wizard. He starts his new school and makes friends (and enemies).
This book rocks because of the following reasons:- Simplicity in storytelling. A simple story told in a very simple way and still it enchants you. Crisp in language, nowhere the author is going to prove her superiority of subject over you. ( What most Indian Authors try to do) Obviously since it is for kids. The reader can visualize the characters easily. The book doesn't only appeal to children but adults as well.
