A haiku is an un-rhymed verse genre with three lines. The first and the third lines have five syllables while the second lines has seven. In Japanese, the word "haiku" means "playful verse." All Haiku’s are about a season or something about a season.
Now and again, clouds shift, break apart, showing off a lost world of blue
Suddenly earth, sky, Tree, and mountain are carried Off, shrouded in fog
Another raindrop And the stream will overflow Into the meadow…
One last patch of sky About to be swallowed up By thundering clouds…
Here we are, Winter, Just you and I in the snow, freezing together
Here go the willows Again, dragging their long sleeves Into the river….
Long green fingernails Grow and split, holding up white Magnolia blossoms
Seagulls also stand Marveling as ocean waves curl And crest, curl and crest
One chrysanthemum In a vase, watching over Second Avenue
