1. Discouraged People
2. Dreadful People
3. Delay & Depletion of Resources
4. Defiled Work & Defiled People
5. Disadvantaged People
This document discusses a passage from the Gospel of Mark that describes Jesus confronting and defeating Satan. It makes three key points:
1. Jesus is the Son of God, as attested by the Holy Spirit. He has authority and power over Satan.
2. Jesus invades Satan's kingdom, binds Satan, and plunders his works. He is stronger than Satan.
3. Jesus is the head of God's family - those who do God's will and carry on his work of casting out demons and healing the sick.
- God made a promise to King David that he would have a great descendant whose kingdom would be established forever, and that God would build the temple. This promise is reflected in Psalms 89:35-37.
- The prophet Isaiah foretold that a child would be born who would be given the titles Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace, and whose government and peace would have no end, sitting on David's throne forever.
- The birth of Jesus Christ, born of the virgin Mary, fulfilled the promise to David, as God was with us in the form of Jesus, who would save his people from their sins, as was spoken by the prophet.
Walking in disunity means not functioning according to God's will and outside of His blessings. Those who do not walk in unity will not see God's glory in their lives and will face destruction. Conversely, those who walk in unity can achieve great things. The Bible instructs believers to withdraw from those who do not walk in unity. In order to receive Jesus' blessings, believers must be determined to walk in unity and live as God wants according to the structures and leadership He has established.
This document discusses prioritizing God over other things in life and making sacrifices to God rather than things not of God. It warns that having faith in things not of God can lead one to act like those things rather than God. It encourages forgetting wants, placing will in God's will, and asking God to destroy sins so as not to be placed back in bondage. The document promotes attending a Bible study on December 30th to receive more revelation knowledge.
The document summarizes passages from Mark 3:20-30 about Jesus being accused of having an unclean spirit by religious leaders when he casts out demons. It discusses the unforgivable sin of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit and says opinions must be grounded in clear scripture. It argues that suicide does not fit the category of unforgivable sin based on the scriptures and that one's relationship to Jesus determines their fate, not dying in perfection.
The document discusses the importance of having a clear purpose for building a congregation. It emphasizes that a congregation's purpose should align with God's purpose of redeeming men as described in several Bible verses. The document asks questions about whether a congregation's purpose allows for growth and encourages leaders to have a personal purpose for preaching that is in line with their spiritual calling from God.
The document outlines an organization's vision, mission, and values. The vision is to see the world unite in peace and leave a better future for coming generations. The mission is to create success stories by contributing to change the world through the guidance of Jesus Christ. The values that drive the organization are integrity, purpose, balance, faith, leadership, and compassion.
Paul was compelled by the Holy Spirit to go to Jerusalem, knowing he would face imprisonment and hardship. He was committed to finishing the task Jesus gave him of testifying to God's grace, even if it cost him his life. He warned the elders that false teachers would arise to distort the truth and lead people astray after they leave. He commended them to God and His grace, encouraging them to help the weak through hard work. They all wept as they said goodbye to Paul, not knowing if they would see him again.

The document contains lyrics from several Christian songs that reference faith in God, Jesus, and overcoming challenges through belief. They describe finding refuge and guidance in God, Jesus' kindness and beauty, positive changes since being born again, and eventual victory through faith that the Lord will see believers through to a future of peace.
Jesus questions the Pharisees about who they believe the Messiah is. They reply that the Messiah will be the son of David. Jesus then quotes scripture where David calls the Messiah his Lord, pointing out that it does not make sense for the Messiah to be both David's son and his Lord. The Pharisees had no response and did not question Jesus further.
The document contains passages from Luke 22 describing disputes among Jesus's disciples about greatness. Jesus tells them the greatest should be like the youngest and one who serves. He promises them a kingdom but says Peter will deny knowing Jesus three times before the rooster crows. When the disciples say they have swords, Jesus says that is enough and it is written he will be numbered with transgressors. The document discusses how faith does not exempt one from evil and suffering, and some virtues are only learned through suffering, though God prays believers overcome trials rather than removing them. It encourages giving thanks in adversity to let God use difficulties for his purpose.

God's sovereignty is seen at Christmas in several ways: God sent Jesus at the appointed time according to prophecy; God chose Mary and Joseph to be the parents of Jesus to fulfill the Davidic covenant; God ensured Jesus would be born in Bethlehem as was foretold; and God announced Jesus's birth to shepherds and led the Magi to recognize Jesus as the Messiah. All of these actions demonstrate how God sovereignly orchestrated events at the first Christmas to provide salvation for humanity.
We need to recover an appreciation for our work lives. I argue that Christians should begin with grace, continue in grace, and end with grace, which God provides generously for all areas of our lives.
A new census was taken to redistribute the land fairly among the tribes. God instituted an equitable system where larger tribes received more land and smaller tribes received less, with each inheritance distributed by lot. Before his death, Moses sought a leader to succeed him and guide Israel into Canaan. God chose Joshua for this role. The religious obligations of the people were also reinforced, including proper treatment of vows. Some tribes asked to settle outside Canaan, but agreed to help conquer the land first before returning to their families.
Ken Fong - Lenten Series - God Of Justice - 090315ebcla
The document discusses the concept of justice from both a childlike and mature Christian perspective. It notes that while children have an innate sense of fairness, humans often manipulate notions of justice for personal gain as they age. The text urges Christians to think clearly about pursuing justice in a way that empowers righteous action, is pleasing to God, and helps those suffering from injustice. It outlines that God is a God of compassion, wrath, and rescue who desires justice for the oppressed and defenders for the vulnerable. Christians are called to seek justice and rescue the oppressed as part of God's plan to shine light into dark places of injustice.
NPGBC - Monthly Theme Commentary - March 2016 newpineygrove
This document discusses the theme of God's grace according to the Bible. It defines grace as God's unmerited favor and his ability to forgive human sin and rebellion. Grace is a central theological theme throughout the Bible. The document outlines different aspects of God's grace, including common grace which causes the sun to rise on all people, saving grace which saves through faith as a gift from God, enabling grace which carries believers forward until completion, and sufficient grace in which God's power is perfected through human weakness.
This document provides tips for developing a sense of wisdom. It suggests separating godly wisdom from worldly wisdom, reflecting on past experiences through journaling and counsel, and projecting prudently through prayer. It advises asking God for wisdom, the ability to think and respond skillfully. Spending time with wise people can help wisdom rub off as it is caught as well as taught. Ultimately, the document presents Jesus as the smartest and most brilliant man who lived, supervising history and preparing the future, and as the embodiment of God's power and wisdom.
This document discusses Philippians 4:13 and what it means to be able to do all things through Christ. It explains that with Christ's strengthening, believers can do God's will as long as the task is helpful, not forbidden, and done through faith and patience. Some things Christians cannot do include acts against God's commands or outside of His purposes. The will of God and unselfish service through Christ enable believers to accomplish great things.

This document discusses reasons for workplace evangelism. It argues that Christians working in corporations have been providentially placed there to witness for their faith. The "Great Commission" commands Christians to spread the gospel to all parts of the world, including the business world. While most missionary efforts focus on tribal and impoverished groups, corporate Christians have an opportunity to evangelize the vast population of professionals. All Christians, regardless of vocation, have been sent by Jesus into the world to share their faith.
The document provides guidance on preparing for a job interview. It includes tips on proper attire, developing a resume, common interview questions, body language during an interview, and following up after an interview. Bible verses are included that emphasize relying on God for victory.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375
