Movable Type is a content management system that allows users to easily build and manage blogs, websites, and social media sites. It is highly extensible through a plugin system that allows developers to customize and extend its functionality using Perl. The Movable Type Open Source project aims to create an open source version of Movable Type that can be modified and redistributed under the GPL v2 license for any purpose.
