ABOUT HAN DMADE ARCADE
Indie craft fairs are growing nationwide. Young, hip crafters are selling and celebrating their
off-beat wares — from knitted leg-warmers to screen-printed t-shirts to vintage ephemera
buttons — at fairs in cities like Chicago, New York, L.A. and yes, Pittsburgh. The scene
appeals to progressive, crafty Do-It-Yourselfers — the ones who read ReadyMade and
Venus, post on Craftster and approach shopping with a unique sensibility.
Handmade Arcade began in 2004 with 30 vendors and 800 visitors; the 2006 fair
showcased 110 vendors from nine states and Toronto, and attracted over 5,000 visitors.
The event has received press coverage from a variety of publications, including the
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, and was awarded the
2006 People’s Choice Award by the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council and WYEP. The fair
is now Pittsburgh’s holiday kick-off event for thousands of shoppers in search of unique,
handmade gifts. The 2007 Handmade Arcade will be an expanded two-day event
on November 10 and 11.

III. HOT GLUE GUN SPONSORSHIP: $1,000
All benefits above plus:
• Your business name and/or logo on promotional posters (200 printed)
• Your business name included in press releases
IV. SEWING MACHINE SPONSORSHIP: $2,000
All benefits above plus:
• A quarter page ad in the event program (2,500 printed)
• Your business name and/or logo on our ads in Pittsburgh City Paper (2 total)
