carpentry, from 20 years old.. In recent years. thanks to the collaboration of young designers
and creatives, specifically the LITTLE studio, approached the world of design.
Semplicity, materic consistency, rfiniment and originality make furnishing brand the uniques
objects of their kind. The intent is to bring the handiscraft to industrialization to provide small
series in imited edition, exclusive items, almost collectibles, which founded together design,
artisanship and quality.

The identity of Bitossi Ceramiche starts from the beginning of 1900’s and develops upon a
productive ceramic tradition that existed in Montelupo Fiorentino starting from 1500. The
Bitossi family business produces artistic ceramics, at least since 1871. It will be Guido
Bitossi, heir to the ceramic tradition, to establish in 1921 the “Manifattura Maioliche Artistiche”
featuring typical local craft works. The traditional production was renewed thanks to the Art
Direction of Aldo Londi, a man attentive to the evolution of taste and with a natural born
creative and aesthetical sense. The meeting with the architect Ettore Sottsass was of primary
importance and it turned into a close collaboration with Londi for many years. Together they
will give birth to successful lines which combined and magnified skill and genius. Bitossi
Ceramiche still is in the original factory and it is still the destination for leading design
characters who are fascinated by the historical value of the company and by craft production
and create unique collections which are then recognizable in the nicest international shops.
The family thus started to collect over 7000 historical works, documents and material related
to the artistic ceramic production since 1871, and so it was created a massive Archive.
Thanks to this collection in 2003 it was opened the main core of MAIB – Bitossi Artistic
Industrial Museum, managed by the Vittoriano Bitossi Foundation, a direct offshoot of the
family. In 2011 MAIB became member of MUSEIMPRESA, Italian Association of Enterprise
Archives and Museums. In 2014 during the “Enterprise Culture Week” the Vittoriano Bitossi
Foundation released the biography and presented the show dedicated to the master Aldo
Londi, titled “Aldo Londi, a 20th Century Ceramist”. On December, 2, 2014 Bitossi Cerami-
che was officially entitled as member of the Registry of Italian Historical Companies, instituted
by the National Union of Chambers of Commerce.

The Liberal Academy of Fine Arts of Florence, offers academic courses of 3 plus 2 years
(restructured duration) for diplomas at 1st and 2nd level in the following subjects: Graphic
Design, Photography, Painting, Restoration, Design.
Situated in the southern zone of Florence, the L.A.B.A. site occupies around 1.100 squared
metres with recreational space in front and a garden behind. The building has a presentation
hall seating up to 150, laboratories for photography, design, painting, restoration, graphic
design.
Besides structured university courses, the Academy offers further completion with Professio-
nal Courses, Liberal Courses and Post-degree Masters.

The crystal from Colle Val d’Elsa sinks its deep roots in the Tuscan glass-making production
of the 14th century. Each object is made in the purest 24% lead crystal, and is the result of
the creativity of Duccio di Segna’s master artisans who are able to create unique and
timeless pieces out of fire, water and air.

The company, founded and still lead with great energy by Chevalier of Industry Benito Luigi
Giovannetti, was born in the mid sixties and gained immediately the worldwide attention with
its innovative and researched products, perfectly matching the climate of experimentation of
those years, when new forms were created and new ways were sought to satisfy the growing
necessity of relaxing, joining together and conversing. This is the philosophy which in the
sixties gave birth to Bazaar, Onos, Teso, Lambda and Yates, designed by Superstudio; and
nowadays researched and well valued in the market of collectors.

Oreste Ruggiero is architect, artist and essayist. He wrote, in 1984, the essay “Architecture,
the disappearance of an art”, with an introduction by architect Giovanni Michelucci.
In 1997, he conceived and realized together with the historian of architecture Bruno Zevi, the
international congress of Modena for the raise, after the Post Modern, of the “Organic and
expressionist architecture" through the zero degree of art and landscape.
He is teaching at the Faculty of Architecture in Florence in the Master "Appreciation and line
management of cultural and environmental properties”.
He drafted the plan of arrangement art, architecture or layout of Sector 3 of Bucharest and
the urban-spa complex of the town of the Montecatini Terme.
He carried out, together with the artist Mario Ceroli, the artistic intervention and architectural
of the floor used by the Head of State Police, of the Viminale palace in Rome.
He designed the artistic and architectural structure of the amphitheater, the community hall,
theaters and the guest house of the cultural center of the city of Doha, Qatar; the Cultural
Center of the Embassy of Libya in Rome; the exhibition by Jorio Vivarelli in Old Palace in
Florence and the rehabilitation of the Roman baths adjacent to the temple of Serapis in
Pozzuoli.
