The Services Export Incentive Scheme (SEIS) provides incentives for exporting a variety of business, legal, accounting, engineering, medical and other services from India. Eligible services include areas like advertisement, market research, management consulting, and technical testing. The SEIS has been updated for fiscal year 2019-2020, capping incentives per company at INR 5 crores and extending the deadline to file incentive claims for previous years to December 2021. Companies can receive help identifying eligible services, applying for incentives, and utilizing any resulting duty credit scrips.

3. SEIS update & Way-forward:
 The eligible services for FY 2019-20 are notified in
Annexure 3X with rate of incentive being rationalized
with eligible incentive being capped at INR 5 Crores
per IEC for FY.
 Applications for claim of incentive for FY 2018-19 &
FY 2019-20 can be filed before 31 December 2021 (with
a late cut of 5% for FY 2018-19). Any application
filed after the cut of date of 31 December 2021 is
considered to be time barred.
 Application for claim of incentive against services
for which consideration is received in INR (notified
in Annexure 3E) is not allowed for claim of incentive
