BYOD in the classroom 13 may 2013
This presentation discusses using mobile devices in the classroom. It provides examples of apps that can be used to engage learners, activate new skills and information, and have learners share and reflect. Issues with wireless infrastructure, inclusion, and teacher confidence are addressed. Guidelines are offered for classroom management and criterion-based assessment using mobile technologies. Resources for choosing appropriate apps and evaluating them are also shared.
QR codes in the curriculum
This session was a demonstration of how Moulton College has embedded QR codes into the curriculum to enable learners quick access to relevant electronic resources followed by an interactive workshop on how to get started with QR codes.

Sammy excitedly leapt at the toad but lost his balance and fell into the pond, getting covered in debris. Mary pulled him out but he was still wet. Sammy had learned his lesson to think before acting.

Farah had a birthday party last Sunday. She sent out invitations and decorated with balloons. Her friends arrived with presents. They sang, Farah blew out candles, and ate food like chicken and ice cream. They played games and had prizes. Everyone was tired but happy at the end of Farah's memorable birthday party.

When they arrived, John and his sister excitedly changed into their swimsuits and ran toward the sea. They swam and had fun, then grew hungry.
