Ground water comes from rain, snow, sleet, and hail that soaks into the ground. It flows through spaces between sand, soil and gravel particles and is the source of water for showers, sinks, and other household uses. Pollution from waste dumped into drains can contaminate ground water and prevent it from circulating properly. The author pledges to never dump anything down the drain or waste water in order to protect this important natural resource.

3. Interesting Facts!!!If you dump bad stuff like waste and pollution down the drain it will get the water and not let the water do its job. It seems like the ground water would be disgusting and taste gross but it’s not it’s very clean.

4. What I’ve learned is… I learned that ground water moves down into the ground. Ground water moves down because of gravity it passing between particles. All the particles are sand, soil, and gravel. If you dump stuff down the sink it will make the ground water sad. So if you dump stuff down the drain or the tub and if you do it , it could get to the ground water and keep it from doing its job. Lesson Learned

5. Spreading the word!!!To show people ground water is important I will do my best to tell people about it.I will make lots of fliers and put all of them in different neiborhoods and mail boxes.Or I would knock on peoples doors and tell them all about ground water and what it does for us.

6. I Pledge To……I pledge to never dump anything down the drain because it would mess up the ground water.I won’t waste water at any time it would be terrible if our ground water isn’t there.I pledge to never leave the water running in the shower in the sink or anywhere .it is terrible when people waste our water
