By modeling the application portfolio and constraints as an optimization problem, they were able to find an optimal solution that assigned 80% of apps to AWS, 7% to Google, and 13% to Azure, saving 15-20% per year compared to other approaches. This equates to $1.5M in annual savings from the first 15 applications analyzed.
