CAREER PROFILE
I have a demonstrated career of successful leadership in the non-profit sector. My strengths include the
ability to grow an agency in a fiscally responsible manner. I have a proven track record of developing and
implementing innovative programs that provide sustainable impacts to clients. I believe I am well respected
in the sector and have been part of many governmental and city-wide committees and advisory groups. I
work well with funders and have been complimented many times on my motivational skills.
CAREER OBJECTIVE
I am looking for a new opportunity that will allow me to use my strengths to work with a committed
Board of Directors to benefit our city and those who require our assistance.
SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
 Led John Howard Toronto to successfully accomplish an amalgamation with the St.
Leonard’s Society that created one of the largest criminal justice agencies in Toronto (2015);
 Developed and implemented the Toronto Reintegration Centre to immediately assist men
leaving prison. This is unique in North America (2014);
 Purchased and renovated 1669 Eglinton Ave. West for the John Howard Society (2013);
 Developed and operated well-respected employment programs for men with a criminal
record. Program has grown 400% since implementation (2012);
 Grew John Howard Toronto from an annual budget of one million to over four million and a
500% growth in staff resources (2005-2015);
 Developed and operated transitional houses for homeless individuals who are charged with
Drug Crimes (2007-present);
 Developed and operated nationally recognized Post-Incarceration Housing Support program
for homeless men leaving prison (over 700 people housed with a 69% retention rate 2006-
2015);
 Ensured all full time staff received a raise annually during my 10 year tenure at John
Howard;
 Grew Na-Me-Res from a budget of $750,000 to over 4 million with 1 500% increase in staff
(1997-2005);
 Expanded men’s homeless shelter from 38 beds to 62 (2003); and
 Opened 52 bed Aboriginal Youth Shelter (2002).
