The Greek school system is divided into primary school (6 years), secondary school (3 years), and senior high school (3 years). Students attend from ages 6 to 18 and education is compulsory until age 16. The school year runs from September to June and is divided into two semesters, with students receiving reports on their marks in the 1-20 scale at the end of each. Classes typically have 20-30 students and mobile phones are banned during lessons. The curriculum includes 13 core subjects like mathematics, Greek, history, and English.

Greek language, Ancient Greek Language,
Chemistry, Science, History, Biology, Physical
Education, English, Religious Education, and
Information Technology.
8. Our opinion:
• In the Greek school’s organization there are
not only positive things but also there are
many negative things.
• First of all we go at school only mornings of 5
days of week. So, we have the weekends to
do everything we want.
• Our educational system is very exam oriented.
