Leto pleaded with Zeus for help as Hera wanted to kill her for taking yoghurt and bearing Zeus's twins, and the monster Black Python pursued her. Zeus distracted Hera with an invitation to his birthday party. He then sent his son Apollo to kill Black Python. Apollo silently entered the jungle and was attacked by Python, but killed it with an arrow to the head, avenging his mother Leto.
