The cam/crank sensor monitors the position and rotation of the camshaft and crankshaft in an engine. It sends signals to the vehicle's computer so it can properly time ignition and fuel injection events. Malfunctions with the cam/crank sensor can cause issues like misfires, reduced fuel economy and power, and error codes to be stored in the vehicle's computer.
