 Widening of Existing Road and Testing of Pavement materials
Studying the widening possibilities of existing two lane state highways to regularize the
present traffic by designing the pavement layers using IRC 37-1970 and TNHD pavement design
software. Estimating the pavement materials that results in economic design layout.
 Design of Casting yard and Office building in Pre-Casting Plant
Designing the casting yard for wind loads and earthquake loads, calculating the member
forces and drawing the plan, section and elevation using AutoCad 2012. The office building is
reinforced concrete structures which is designed by using IS 456 2000 code.

2. Industrial Visits
 Visited V.O.Chidambaram Port Trust, Tuticorin to gain knowledge about harbour planning.
 In the visit to Pykara Water Reservoir, Udhagamadalam the hydraulic machines like
turbines, draft tubes,etc are illustrated to us by the reservoir officials.
 On visiting PRP exports, Madurai obtained the knowledge of geological features of rock
formations.
