Greenwich Millennium Village provides approximately 3,000 mixed-tenure homes on the Greenwich peninsula in London, with Phase 2 contributing 372 innovative new homes built around a traditional London square design. The project was required to meet stringent environmental targets for reductions in energy, water usage, construction waste, costs and time, which Phase 2 exceeded by providing homes with 30% lower primary energy usage, 50% lower embodied energy, and reductions of up to 30% in water consumption, costs and construction time.
