Fr. Gregory Gay, the superior general of the Vincentian family, visited the Philippines from July 16-25, 2012, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the arrival of the Congregation of the Mission and Daughters of Charity. His visit included various activities such as mass celebrations, cultural performances, and meetings with alumni, students, and Vincentian family members across multiple locations. The visit culminated in a tribute ceremony in his honor, reflecting on the legacy of the Vincentian mission in the Philippines.

2. FR. GREGORY GAY’S VISIT (July 16-25)
Rev. Fr. Gregory Gay, CM (GGG) the Superior General of the Vincentian
Family came to the Philippines for the 150th anniversary of the arrival of the
CM and DC who first came to the Philippines in July 22, 1862. A series of
activities were held in various houses and institutions of the CM and DC.
These were graced by the different members of the Vincentian Family, their
partners, collaborators and friends who came from all over the country and
from abroad. Other notable members who graced the occasion were: MHM.
Evelyne Franc, DC (Mother General, France), Fr. Teodoro Barquin, CM
(SSVP Spiritual Director, Spain), Fr. Enrique Sanz, CM (former Provincial
Visitor – Madrid, Spain) and Fr. Patrick Griffin, CM (Director of the DC,
USA).
In Adamson, we re-staged the Flight of a Falcon and San Vicente a
Zarswela for said occasion. The Honoris Causa conferment ceremony was
also timed for the visit as well as the photo exhibit, Vincentians in the
Philippines: Keeping the Legacy Alive. We also played host to the Alumni of
the CM Reunion and the Vincentian Family Tribute to GGG on July 20 and
24 respectively.
