‘How can I find meaning in life?’ Pastor Paul John speaks on ‘How
can I find wisdom?’ (Ecclesiastes 7 - 8:1). Includes communion
and a focus on prayer for the Persecuted Church.
Children & young people are invited to leave for their own
activities after approx. 30 minutes.

If you would like to give to Tearfund’s Philippines Typhoon Appeal, in
addition to your normal giving to GFEC, please place your gift in the
offering bag in a clearly marked envelope. GFEC will make up these
gifts to an amount of £600 which will be directed to Tearfund.
2. New stewards required to welcome people on Sunday
mornings. All you need to make people feel they matter is a
welcoming smile, a warm handshake and help to find their
seat. Please see Ken Hayward for more details.
Link to Hope Shoebox Appeal 2013. A very big “thank you” to
everyone for your support in the form of boxes, items for boxes
and finance. Christmas will be so different for over 375 poverty
stricken families and lonely elderly folk because of your generosity.
There is a Building Vision Prayer Breakfast on Saturday
23rd November, 8:30am at Old Mill Hall (Dixon Suite). Please
come and join with us in praying for the future of GFEC and
enjoy a coffee and a croissant (£2.00 donation appreciated).
Our next collection of items for donation to the Wantage and
Grove Foodbank will be next Sunday, 24th November. Please see
the list at the back of the church for suitable items for donation.
It’s Care for the Family’s 25th anniversary and you are
invited to a special evening to celebrate all that God has
done in this ministry over a quarter of a century. ‘Join us
as we worship, laugh, learn and give thanks - together!’ The
evening is hosted by Diane Louise Jordan. Rob and Diane
Parsons, Katharine Hill, Graham Kendrick and Tim Vine will
be taking part. It’s on Saturday 23rd November in Reading. More
details can be found in the yellow brochures at the back of the church.
