1) Nanay Juaning Kabato is a 61-year-old woman from the indigenous Iraya tribe in Occidental Mindoro, whose tribe relies on agricultural activities for food and livelihood. However, their area is prone to typhoons that frequently damage crops. 2) In July 2018, Typhoon Josie devastated almost half of Nanay Juaning's crops.
