this is a brief research about thriller genre its related to my film

1. Mise en scene:
There are multiple things
that come under the umbrella of mise
en scene such as lighting, clothing, props
and settings etc.
As for lighting, low level lighting is used
to portray a dull and dark atmosphere
which refers to suspense.
If we talk about clothing so normal
everyday clothes are used to make it
look more realistic for the audience,
make up is also used usually its less so it
looks more realistic.

2. Props and settings play an important
role too in a thriller film mostly weapons
and fake blood depending on the
storyline is used.
As for settings usually the set is designed
to look dark, dangerous or isolated it
creates a sense that the character is in
danger or he’s being chased.
2. Editing and sound:
This editing and sound is
the most vital part of a thriller movie, the
suspense that it creates is what keeps
audience stick to their seats. To make it
possible it’s the perfect timing of the
editor when to put a cut and the fast
paced editing of the clips is what creates

3. Tention among the audience. Here comes
the use of sound effects, music and the
dialogues. In a thriller movie it is the
sound effects that are main like if a
person is hiding or he was running for his
life he would be heavily breathing and if
the character is in danger that
suspenseful music is used , there are
many more examples like these
Just as this the dialogue delivery varies
from scene to scene depending on the
script.
3. Shots and angles:
In a thriller sequence almost
all of the shots are used from bird eye
view to over the shoulder shot. Usually
bird eye view or high angle shot is used

4. when the character is being watched
upon or followed. Like this handheld shot
and pov shot is used when the character
is either hiding or sneaking through
somewhere. Further over the shoulder
shot and low angle shots are used when
the character encounters with the villain
and to show the power of a villain. The
editing compliments these different
perspectives of the shots and together it
builds a perfect thriller masterpiece.
