to keep them thinking about what will happen

• Lighting should be dim and eerie in a thriller,
this creates a sense of tension and suspense
and it makes the action seem darker and more
intense.
4. Shots
• In thrillers, there is usually quick cut shots
going from one action to another.
• Also, there should be lots of different angles
of shots throughout the film. Sometimes
canted angles to make the plot seem
disorientated.
5. Music
• There is usually tense music with the diegetic
sound of heavy breathing.
• In addition, if the character is running the
sound of footsteps getting louder is effective.
