This document provides an overview of the Google Developer Student Club (GDSC) onboarding session. It introduces the faculty mentor and describes GDSC as helping students bridge the gap between theory and practice by joining a peer-to-peer learning environment. Students can network, learn new skills through hands-on workshops and projects, and advance their career. The document encourages students to get involved by contributing a little time and curiosity in exchange for learning software skills and experiences to add to their resume.

4. What is GDSC?
Helping students bridge the gap between
theory and practice
Google Developer Student Clubs (GDSC) are community
groups for college and university students interested in
Google developer technologies. Students from all
undergraduate or graduate programs with an interest in
growing as a developer are welcome. By joining a GDSC,
students grow their knowledge in a peer-to-peer learning
environment and build solutions for local businesses and
their community.
