The document summarizes KeyBanc Capital Markets' analysis of the truckload industry. Some key points:
1) They are raising estimates for trucking companies based on stronger than expected freight activity and positive commentary on pricing trends.
2) Freight volumes have strengthened in March and initial contract rate increases are at the high end of expectations.
3) Capacity remains balanced to tight, supporting further pricing gains, though driver wages are a concern.
4) Consensus estimates for truckers' 1Q2012 earnings are likely conservative given seasonal trends.
KeyBanc maintains a positive outlook on the industry and reiterates "Buy" ratings on three companies.

Amárach Research An Post Roadshow Presentation July 2010Amarach Research
This document is a report from Amárach Research titled "From Recession to Restart" dated July 2010. The report discusses Ireland's economic recovery from recession and focuses on three main topics: 1) examining if Ireland has reached an economic recovery yet, 2) analyzing shifts in Irish consumer confidence and spending habits, and 3) identifying growing industries and business opportunities emerging from the recession. The report utilizes data and research to argue that while the recovery will be gradual, Ireland is turning a corner from recession as consumer spending increases and unemployment peaks in the summer of 2010.
Pinterest has grown tremendously in recent years and established itself as a major player in social marketing. The document discusses how having more Pinterest followers can help highlight brands and drive targeted traffic to websites. It promotes the website www.pinfollowerz.com, which offers to generate more Pinterest followers for businesses to help generate interest and achieve instant traffic from real users interested in their offerings.
This document proposes a method for recommender systems that counts different configurations ("squares") in the user-item bipartite rating network to predict whether a user will rate an item highly. It involves counting the number of each configuration for every user-item pair to generate features, then training a machine learning classifier on these features. The method was applied to the KDD Cup 2011 Yahoo! Music Dataset competition and achieved competitive results, with enhancements like normalizing against random networks and separating counts based on item hierarchy. Interestingly, configurations involving "hate" edges were most predictive of a user's potential love for an item.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

Observability Concepts EVERY Developer Should Know -- DeveloperWeek Europe.pdfPaige Cruz
Monitoring and observability aren’t traditionally found in software curriculums and many of us cobble this knowledge together from whatever vendor or ecosystem we were first introduced to and whatever is a part of your current company’s observability stack.
While the dev and ops silo continues to crumble….many organizations still relegate monitoring & observability as the purview of ops, infra and SRE teams. This is a mistake - achieving a highly observable system requires collaboration up and down the stack.
I, a former op, would like to extend an invitation to all application developers to join the observability party will share these foundational concepts to build on:
