The Pajaro Valley Water District is facing salt water intrusion issues on coastal farms. To address this, the district created a pipeline from the sewage treatment plant to mix treated sewage water with regular city water and pump it to farms along Watsonville and Moss Landing. This helps irrigate farms with mixed water and prevents further salt water intrusion issues.
