The Ganesh Murti Nagar Slums are located near Cuffe Parade in Mumbai and house around 80,000 residents in a small area. The slum homes are brightly painted small structures that provide minimal space for cooking and washing. Residents work as fishermen or commute to nearby areas for occupations like shops and scrap collection. There are nine temples, three mosques, and limited public toilet facilities for the large population. Access to water is restricted to a few hours per day through a political rationing system.
