This document discusses a hospital waste disposal system developed by GaMa I - Garbage Management Innovations. It was created in collaboration with professors and students from India and Finland. The system aims to address the unstructured situation of medical waste disposal, with a focus on proper segregation of waste at the origin, storage, and disposal stages. Key elements of the solution include color-coded bins with visual instructions, periodic training of staff, and a segregation awareness campaign. The implementation model proposes developing local autoclaving and digestion facilities distributed by GaMa I, along with low-cost shredding and compacting solutions.
