Career focus:
I am a driven, results orientated individual. I haveworked in England,
Spain, Thailand, Malaysia, Germany and am currently in Sydney Australia. I
have experience working on small to large size mono hulls, catamarans and
super yachts and building carbon fiber and fiberglass parts. My main
experience is in composite laminating including wet lay, vacuum bagging,
infusion and pre preg work. I input great enthusiasm and would highly
appreciate working within a company with a proven record of excellence. As
for future career development I would always be keen to progress and haveno
qualms with regards to handling responsibility as I am confident with my own
organization skills and self-motivation. I would like to progress to working
within the automotive or aerospacelaminating industries and am happy to
work anywherein the world.

Professional experience:
Pre Preg laminating / carbon fiber part production – McConaghy boats,
Sydney Australia, September 2016 –Current.
Currently I am working producing a 57 ft Preg preg Carbon fiber and Nomex
deck for a cruising/racing yacht. Duties include Cutting and fitting of nomex
and pre preg to structuraldrawings, vacuum bagging and cooking.
Race yacht boatbuilding / carbon fiber part production - Marine Element,
Sydney Australia, August2016 –September 2016.
A shortcontract based at Marine Element at Sydney city marine, working on
general boatbuilding duties including the cleaning and servicing of areas on
race yachts, customization of carbon fiber areas and repair and refit work.
Carbon fiber and fiberglass boatbuilding –YachtwerftMeyer Germany, -
Producing superyachttenders, May 2016 –July 2016.
A shortterm contract producing parts for the superyachttender range of
YachtwerftMeyer. Partsized rangefrom small to around 22 feet (foredecks
etc). My work herewas predominantly fiberglass and carbon fiber infusion but
with some wet lay also.
Carbon and e glass laminating – Collett Marine Solutions – Producing 37 ft
Aston Martin speedboats. Febuary 2016 –May 2016
My role at this contract was working on the new range of Aston Martin
speedboats the AM-37’s. Duties included, mould preparation, material and kit
cutting, wet lay and vacuum of parts of various sizes, preparation and lay up of
hull and deck moulds for resin infusion, trimming.
Carbon Laminating - Magma Structures - Producing 25 meter Carbon fiber
yardarms for a superyacht – March 2015 – August2015
This contractwas based in the UK, Southampton, producing carbon fiber
yardarms for a projectsimilar to the SY Maltese Falcon. Duties include working
to strict plans for mould preparation, kit cutting, wet lay up of Biax and Uni
carbon fiber mat, consolidation and vacuum bagging. I also take shifts checking
temperatures on mould cures and oven cures both ambient and postand work
on quality control paperwork and geometry checks. Somesupervisory work
undertaken, some team leader work undertaken and some time spentworking
solo.
Boat Building – 49ftSchionning catamaran for a private owner in Malaysia.
Sept 2014 – March 2015
This was a new build projectI was working on mainly construction and
joining with fiberglass and glues. The boat was being changed from sailing to
power so I was responsiblefor some of the necessary modifications. I also
started filling, fairing and priming. Somewet lay-up and vacuum bagging for
parts like engine beds etc.
Boat Building – Precision ShipwrightServices, Phuket, Thailand . Sept 2012 –
august2014.
I started working for Precision a few months after helping do a yacht
delivery fromMalaysia to Phuket in early 2012. My responsibilities in this role
included - fiberglass damage repair, filler and fairing, prep for paint, installation
and removalof fittings, stripping and repainting of fittings, painting primers
and antifouls. I have worked with small Speedboats, small to large Monohulls,
Catamarans and Super Yachts up to 115 ft. I have someexperience of Prepreg
work here making small customparts for local racing yachts.
Charter Yacht Delivery –Torbay Sea School. Feb 2012 – August2012.
I worked for severalmonths as a volunteer helping deliver a range of
different yachts around the south coastof England and helping do inventory
checks on returning yachts. This was an unpaid position but I thoroughly
enjoyed it as it gave me a chance to experience sailing on a variety of different
yachts.
Education:
Graphic Design – Plymouth College of Art and Design.
2 years. Ending 2008.
10 GCSE’s – Portsmouth Grammar School: 7 C’s, 2 B’s, 1 D.
Including: Mathematics, English Literature and Language, Sciences, History.
