Bangladesh remains a top sourcing destination for clothing retailers due to competitive prices. The economy grew 8.1% in 2019 and has increased 188% in size since 2009. Bangladesh has established 100 special economic zones, with 12 currently operational and 2 reserved for Indian investors, as it works to become a digital society and cashless economy through the use of technology to solve development challenges.

international clothing retailers and brands even during the coronavirus
pandemic because of its competitive prices.

3.  In 2019 the economy of Bangladesh posted record high growth of
8.1%. We are close to achieving double-digit growth.
 Since 2009, Bangladesh’s economy has grown by 188% in size.

4.  The per-capita income of Bangladesh has surpassed $1,909.
 Bangladesh has got establishing 100 Special Economic Zones with one-

 Our country is fast becoming a cashless society: in 2018, e-commerce
transactions reached $260 million.
