- 8. How to performSalat-ul-Janaza? 1 Raise your hands in the usual manner. 2 Say: "Allahu Akbar". 3 Fold your right hand over the left hand in the usual manner. Recite Sana Prayer. 4 Recite Surah Fatiha silently. 5 Then say: " Allahu Akbar". 6 Then recite the Darood-e-Ibrahim. 7 Then say: "Allahu Akbar". 8 Then make dua’ (Supplication) for the deceased. 9 Then say: " Allahu Akbar". 10 Then make dua (Supplication) for all dead Muslims 11 Then say: Salam, like you say in other Salats.

(Muslim) Funeral Prayer (A Reminder of Hereafter) Ibn Masood (R.A) has narrated: "If one walks in a funeral procession and carries the coffin, one should do so from all the sides of the coffin, for this is a Sunnah of Prophet, peace be upon him.“ "Walk briskly while carrying a coffin, for if the deceased is righteous, you would be taking it to something better, and if he or she is an evil person, then you will be getting him or her off your necks."
