Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.

Editor's Notes
SOVT is in the process of developing a new Fundraising Toolkit to help Local Programs build the income side of your budgets. SOVT aims to provide the necessary tools to support our current athletes and to build local programs. We are going to talk about the existing revenue sharing opportunities, hear from some coaches and program coordinators who are having success with fundraising events, and brainstorm some additional processes that will simplify some of the program coordinator’s responsibilities. The Toolkit is a new and living document. We are researching new processes as we make the transition to accrediting Local Programs under the SOVT name. We look forward to hearing your feedback.
Outline of the sessionEncourage people to register to access the portal. There are other cool and important documents and announcements there too!
LIZAReference budget and acceptable expenditures from Wendy’s session.SOI operating rules ensure that no SO athletes is ever charged to participate and that LP’s events must be approved by SOVT.Goals are in line with SOVT/SONA/SOI strategic plans

Peter Booth challenged CVU students to raise $15,000 by offering to shave his head if they reached their goal. In 2013, CVU students raised $28,000 for SOVT! The top two fundraisers did the honors at a school-wide assembly.
LIZAMany of you will be familiar with the Torch Run that carries to torch into the opening ceremonies of Summer Games. But the Torch Run movement is much more than the run. In Vermont, it include two revenue sharing opportunities.

What do we have to offer? We are all working toward the same goal of supporting athletes and expanding opportunities.
In addition to the revenue sharing opportunities, the SOVT office has resources and guidance to offer. The more we know about the success and challenges your program is facing the better we will become and providing solutions.SOVT is also looking for feedback around acknowledging local program donors. Please share how you acknowledge donors who give directly to your program now. Would you prefer that SOVT take on the responsibility for thanking those people? More info about this process will be added to the toolkit, stay tuned.Quote from SOI Operating Rules: “subject to the accrediting Program's obligation to exercise proper supervision and control over such SubProgram activities”This form ensures that SOVT knows about all of the fundraising activity taking place under the SOVT name. We can help publicize your event. Confirm that the event is acceptable under the guidelines of SOVT accreditation. Insurance!
What is our process?!?!? All of this is laid out in the ToolkitQuestions about SOVT/LP donations and thanking process to clarify before presentation:Are all $ gifts to local programs processed through the state office?Does the state office send a thank you letter for donations made directly to a LP (tax letter)?
What is the process for acknowledging LP donors?
See portal for explanation on logo use for each of the files
In the toolkit here is what you’ll find:Reiterate that the purpose of the fundraising event application for approval is twofold:1. So that SOVT can help publicize your event 2. To ensure that events using the SOVT name and logo are compliant with SOVT standards, values
